These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TaraSama website and services ("TaraSama", "we", "us"), operated by TaraSama, 1274 Padre Algue St, Tondo, Manila, 1012 Metro Manila, Philippines. By creating an account or using TaraSama, you agree to these Terms.
1. What TaraSama is
TaraSama is an online marketplace that connects clients with independent hosts who provide strictly platonic social and event companionship in public venues in Metro Manila — for example weddings, family gatherings, corporate events, city tours and language practice. TaraSama is not a dating service, escort service or employment agency. Hosts are independent and are not employees of TaraSama.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must complete identity verification (government ID) before booking or hosting.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Requesting or offering any sexual, romantic, physical or intimate service.
- Meeting in hotel rooms, private homes, condominium units or any non-public place.
- Arranging or accepting payments outside TaraSama, or sharing contact details to avoid the platform.
- Harassment, discrimination, threats, intoxication that endangers others, or any illegal activity.
- Creating fake profiles, using someone else's identity, or misrepresenting your age.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent ban, forfeiture as described in our policies, and reporting to the authorities where required by law, including under the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act (RA 11862).
4. Bookings and payments
- Hosts set their own hourly rates. Clients pay the host rate plus a 15% service fee. TaraSama deducts a 15% service fee from host earnings.
- Payments are held by TaraSama and released to the host after the booking is completed.
- Prices are shown in Philippine Pesos (₱). During the launch phase, payment is made in cryptocurrency at the exchange rate locked at checkout.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the Cancellation Policy.
- Host deposits follow the Host Deposit Policy.
5. Safety, reviews and strikes
Users must follow the Code of Conduct. Hosts check in and out at every booking. Reviews must be honest and respectful. Strike points are applied for no-shows and late cancellations; 3 points result in a permanent ban.
6. Disputes
If something goes wrong, open a dispute from the booking page within 24 hours of the booking end time. TaraSama will review the evidence from both sides and decide on refunds or releases in good faith.
7. Limitation of liability
TaraSama provides a platform and does not control the conduct of users. To the extent permitted by Philippine law, TaraSama is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from bookings. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394) or other applicable law.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; we will notify you of material changes. You may close your account anytime. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
